My name is Pepper Herman, and I'm a software engineer.
I'm a software engineer who recently graduated from the Hogeschool van Amsterdam with a degree in Software Engineering and a minor in Autonomous Systems. I love building software that lives in the real world, from polished web and mobile apps to robots that have to think for themselves. Right now I'm looking for my next role as a software engineer.

Development Services
Full-Stack Web Development
I build complete web apps from the database all the way up to the interface. I care about fast, responsive sites that feel good to use, and I'm happy working across the whole stack, whether that means designing an API, wiring up a database, or polishing the last bit of front-end detail.
Mobile App Development
I develop Android apps with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, the way I did during my internship on the Budget Thuis app and on my own projects like Taskly. I focus on clean, intuitive apps that are pleasant to navigate and hold up well in everyday use.
Robotics & Embedded Systems
Through my minor in Autonomous Systems I worked on robots that have to make their own decisions, like an autonomous indoor blimp and an autonomous lawn mower. I'm comfortable with ROS 2, embedded hardware, sensors, and writing software that has to react to the messy real world in real time.

I'm always open to hearing from new people about their ideas, projects, or potential collaborations.
